COUNSELLING
The Benefits
Counselling is a type of talking therapy that can be helpful to anyone who is struggling with emotional or mental health problems by providing a confidential and safe environment that is free from judgement. My goal is to help you explore your thoughts and feelings to find the best way forward in your life.

Whether you are struggling with, stress or anxiety, have low self-esteem, are working through a traumatic experience, have been bereaved, want help in understanding how you are feeling or need to talk through what is troubling you, my aim is to help you understand what you are feeling and work towards positive change.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands. I can help teach you techniques to better manage the emotional stress of everyday life.

Whatever you’re struggling with, I’m here to help you achieve your goals. Contact me to find out more.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Find your answers here
IS COUNSELLING CONFIDENTIAL?
What you say in counselling is confidential and stays between us. However, there are a few legal exceptions to this, which I explain in my contract.
HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
The number of sessions people require varies enormously. Usually, I suggest starting with 6 sessions and then we can review how you are feeling. However, it is up to you how many sessions you have.
WHAT HAPPENS AT A FIRST SESSION?
At your first session, we will discuss what has brought you to counselling and what you hope to achieve in your sessions. If you are happy to, we will fill in an assessment form to get an understanding of how you are feeling and how those feelings are affecting you.
WHO ARE CONCESSIONS AVAILABLE FOR?
I try to make counselling more affordable by offering concessions to students and anyone who is on a low income. If you are unable to afford the full rate, then please do get in touch to discuss concessions.
